COURSE DESCRIPTION
Students will understand how to use their computers to
enhance learning. Class projects will
focus on different tools individually as well as collaboratively. Projects will be done individually and in
groups.
CLASS PROCEDURE
- Be in seat when class begins
- Check Edmodo/White board for daily warm-up and tasks
- Listen for instructions and complete work
- Be in assigned seat until dismissed

DISHONESTY
In order to develop a proper attitude toward business ethics
and plagiarism, CHEATING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
See student handbook for consequences.
Your PASSWORD PRIVACY
must be maintained. You are responsible
for any activities created in your file.
Under no circumstance should
you access another student’s file or any system files. Violation of this policy will result in
suspension from this class and the computer system.
INTERNET
You are to only access Internet sites that are advised by
your teacher. Violations of this rule can
result in the loss of Internet privileges in class.
MISCELLANEOUS
1.
ABSENT. If you
are absent, you will be expected to find out what work you have missed and
arrange a mutually convenient time to make up the work upon returning to
school.
2.
CONFLICT. If you
have a concern/conflict with any activity, or if you are faced with a personal
crisis or emergency, please discuss it PRIVATELY with the instructor
immediately. Don’t let anger or
frustration build up—seek help!
3.
HALL
PASS. If you need to leave the classroom for any
reason, you must ask permission. A
maximum of five minutes will be permitted.
If you abuse the use of hall passes you will lose them. YOU
MUST HAVE YOUR AGENDA TO USE THE RESTROOM!!
GRADING
Assignment/Homework may be given at any time to help the
students learn the course material. Summative assessments will be given
to determine students understanding of material. If a student fails a
summative assessment they may retake it providing that they complete any
missing assignments pertaining to that test in Homework Club prior to the
retake. Assignments will not be accepted with more than 5 errors.
Students turning in assignments with 5 or more errors will have to re-do
it. If all assignments are complete, the students must attend a Homework
Club session with the teacher in order to review the material prior to retaking
the test. Grades will be solely based on summative assessments.
GRADING SCALE
A = 93 – 100% B- = 80 – 82% D+ = 67 – 69%
A- = 90 – 92% C+ = 77 – 79% D = 63 – 66%
B+ = 87 – 89% C = 73 – 76% D- = 60 – 62%
B = 83 – 86% C- = 70 – 72% F = Below 60%
